The US Open posted an Instagram Reel showing the former champion taking to Arthue Ashe for the first time since he was defaulted from the tournament last year.
“The best player in the world getting some reps in,” they wrote in the caption.
He also posed for a photo with WTA world No 252 Irina Fetecau, and recorded some videos with Pospisil, with the pair having co-founded the Professional Tennis Players’ Association together last year.
The world No 1 was also the heavy favourite to lift the trophy in Flushing Meadows last year, with Federer and Nadal also absent in 2020, but was disqualified when he hit a ball away in frustration during his round of 16 clash, unintentionally making contact with a lineswoman.
Djokovic let his frustrations get the better of him when Carreno Busta broke to serve for the first set at 6-5, and was defaulted from the tournament.
