Holly Willoughby shared the reasons behind her new book Reflections: The Inspirational Book of Life Lessons from Superstar Presenter Holly Willoughby with former Celebrity Juice co-star Fearne Cotton. The This Morning star opened up on the Happy Place podcast and shared the recent “difficult” moment she faced with Phillip Schofield.
Fearne said: “I still find outside noise distracting and the thing I don’t like is if I’m misunderstood by people because I really know what my intentions are and I really don’t like being misunderstood.”
“I was watching from afar when you got every person in the press saying you and Phillip were having a tough time meanwhile you’re great friends and there were no arguments,” she continued.
“I thought, ‘I couldn’t cope with that, there’s no way,’ I would be going, ‘Hello we’re best friends leave me alone.’
“I don’t have the inner strength to shut shop and go, ‘Think what you like,’ I’m not there yet.”

“You walk down the street people are shouting your name. I’m deeply intrigued by your coping mechanisms in place because whatever they are they’re working.”
Holly replied: “To be honest Fearne, I’ve never massively engaged with it.
“I come home and I shut the door and it’s gone. I don’t really think about it, I don’t sit in it, it doesn’t worry me.
“I’m very grateful and I love what I do but – and I know this is difficult for a lot of people to understand – if it all switched off tomorrow I’d be okay.”
“My real life, my real love, my real passion is when that door shuts and that won’t ever change,” she added.
“All the other stuff is like the cherry on the top. I don’t want it to go because I love it I’m very lucky and very fortunate.
“But if something was to happen to Dan or the kids or my family environment or my friends the bottom would fall out of my world and I couldn’t cope.
“That would be me gone the rest of the stuff is important but it’s not important to me and my being.”
This Morning airs on ITV on weekdays at 10am.
