She revealed that while her character’s love life was kicking off, outside of work – she had just got into a new relationship with her husband Chris Ivery.
The actress stated: “We met in 2002, it was about six months before I did the pilot to Grey’s Anatomy, poor guy, he had no idea what he was getting into.”
