Jin Young Ko
Sticking with South Korea, Bee’s native teammate Jin Young Ko will also be relishing the chance to compete for Olympic glory in Tokyo.
Ko has announced herself as one of the strongest contenders on the LPGA Tour having won eight events in just under four years, including two major championships in the space of three months after she claimed the ANA Inspiration and the Evian Championship in 2019.
The South Korean is also one of the few in the field heading to Tokyo in winning form, as the 26-year-old clinched her eighth LPGA Tour title at this year’s Volunteers of America Classic just four weeks ago.
Fillipino youngster Yuka Saso makes her trip to the Games as one of golf’s hottest prospects, after taking the women’s game by storm in recent years with her Rory McIlroy-like swing.
Despite being just 20-years-old Saso already has a major championship to her name, after she clinched this year’s US Women’s Open in a nail-biting play-off against Japan’s Nasa Hatoaka.
